Scampton Gin
£6.50 – £36.99
Scampton Gin recognises and celebrates the Station’s 106 years of historic, ground-breaking service with the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force.
On 13 October 1916, Air Station Brattleby Cliff opened as a Home Defence Flight unit prior to being renamed RAF Scampton in 1918, making the Station one the RAF’s oldest. Best known for The Dambusters, 617 Squadron, and more recently the Royal Air Force
Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows and 19 Sqn Control & Reporting Centre; RAF Scampton has remained at the tip of the UK Air Defence. Additionally, the Vulcan force projected the UK’s global Nuclear deterrent capability and participated in the annual Giant Voice Bombing competition in the USA.
Notable personnel from RAF Scampton include Wg Cdr Guy Gibson VC, Flt Sgt John Hannah VC and Flt Sgt James ‘Jimmy’ Flint GC.
This gin celebrates all personnel, past and present, who have lived and worked at Air Station Brattleby Cliff and RAF Scampton throughout its 106 years.
